Meet Marnie, now 48 years old. A retired hotel server, she turned her passion for life and thoughtful styling into her own venture, operating THREAD & TREAD under Nodestrum Global.

She didn’t take this journey alone. Her mother Elaine, together with her two close friends and business partners Suki and Carol, joined her to build this project.

Four women of varied ages and backgrounds, each bringing unique life experience.

• Elaine (Marnie’s mother): A lifelong lover of soft, timeless knitwear. She can judge the quality of fabric just by touch, with a preference for muted earth tones and pieces that age gracefully.
• Suki (Asian American co-partner): An expert in effortless everyday styling. She excels at mixing simple basics to create warm, laid-back looks for daily life.
• Carol: Focuses on versatile clothing that transitions seamlessly between coastal walks, casual outings and quiet home time.

Together, they curate easy, well-made clothing built for real life. Not fast fashion, just quiet, wearable pieces that fit every gentle moment: kitchen conversations, coastal walks, casual dinners at home. For them, dressing well is simply part of living well — comfortable, unforced, and true to yourself.
